I’m not someone who easily gets hooked on fictional books. Sure, I like a good story, but usually, I can put a book down and come back to it later without any problem. A Court of Thorns and Roses changed that completely.
I started the first book just to see what the hype was about, and before I knew it, I was deep into the series, completely absorbed in the world Sarah J. Maas created. And my friends are just as obsessed.
What Makes ACOTAR So Good?
Let’s keep it spoiler-free, but here’s what you can expect:
- A vivid world – Maas has a way of making everything feel real. You’re not just reading about a fantasy land; you’re in it.
- Characters that feel alive – The relationships, the tension, the growth… You feel everything. The dynamics between the characters pull you in and don’t let go.
- The writing flows effortlessly – It’s beautifully written without being overly complicated. You don’t have to fight through pages of descriptions to get to the good stuff—it’s all good stuff.
- It’s a rollercoaster – There are moments that will break you, moments that will make you grin like an idiot, and moments where you just have to keep reading because putting the book down is not an option.
Even If You’re Not a Fantasy Reader…
If you’re hesitant because fantasy isn’t usually your thing—give it a shot anyway. It’s not just about magic and fae. It’s about relationships, power, choices, and growth.
Final Thoughts
Right now, I’m on the last book of Throne of Glass, and she’s done it again. If you end up loving ACOTAR, you’ll probably want to dive into Throne of Glass next.
